A Deep Dive into Adult ADHD: A Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach for Mental Health Professionals

Description:

Do you notice that you’re having more conversations about ADHD in your practice? Do you wish you felt more confident about identifying ADHD in your clients, and would you like to know how to better support them when they do present with ADHD?
Currently, most mental health professionals receive little education on adult ADHD; this training aims to fill that knowledge gap. This 8-hour training will explore what you need to know about adult ADHD beyond the diagnostic criteria. It will provide in depth discussions about the adult ADHD experience, executive functioning skills, and how to best support this population. This intermediate level training is aimed at master’s level mental health therapists, but can also benefit psychologists, social workers, nurse practitioners, prescribers, and other helping professionals. The training utilizes a neurodiversity affirming approach to take you from reviewing ADHD basics through a deep dive understanding and discusses application to clinical practice. This live, virtual training is pending APA approval for 8 CEU’s. Click here to verify whether your licensure accepts these credits.
